The HR Manager serves as an operational partner to business leaders & employees across the organization, responsible for supporting the employee lifecycle through recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, compensation & benefits administration, and talent development initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, service-oriented HR professional who can balance strategic partnership with hands-on execution while helping foster a positive, high-performing, and compliant workplace culture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Employment Branding
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for open positions across the organization.
- Identify staffing needs, candidate profiles, and recruiting strategies.
- Support and enhance employment branding and recruiting campaigns to attract top talent and fill open positions quickly.
- Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, offers, and hiring processes.
Onboarding & New Employee Orientation
- Manage new employee onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, training schedules, and new hire documentation.
- Support successful integration of employees into company culture and operations.
Offboarding & Exit Management
- Manage employee separations including exit interviews, offboarding coordination, knowledge transfer, and final pay/benefits processing to ensure compliant and professional transitions.
Employee Relations & Performance Support
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers regarding employee relations, performance management, discipline, and conflict resolution.
- Support investigations and documentation related to employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Partner with leaders to address performance concerns and development opportunities.
Training
- Coordinate employee training and compliance initiatives
- Track required training completion and support ongoing employee development efforts.
Safety & Workers’ Compensation
- Coordinate workplace safety initiatives, injury reporting, workers' compensation claims management, and return-to-work programs in partnership with the leadership team.
Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Assist and coordinate with third-party service providers for benefits administration, compliance updates, and ensuring accurate data flow between internal systems and PEO platforms.
- Support compensation and benefits administration processes.
- Assist employees with benefit-related questions and enrollment support.
Policy Development & Employee Handbook
- Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of company policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook to ensure compliance and organizational alignment.
- Promote understanding and consistent application of company policies.
Performance Management & Talent Development
- Support review and feedback processes, goal setting, and talent calibration initiatives.
- Partner with leaders on succession planning and career pathing discussions.
- Help identify employee development opportunities and support talent growth strategies.
Compliance & Record Management
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, employment practices, workplace regulations, and company policies.
- Manage compliance tracking for background checks, driving records, licenses, certifications, and related requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure HR processes comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years of HR generalist experience.
- Recruitment and talent acquisition experience required.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, employment law, and employee relations practices.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience supporting performance management and talent development initiatives preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role operates in a professional office environment and requires regular interaction with employees, managers, and external partners. The position may involve balancing multiple priorities and responding to time-sensitive employee and business needs.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
