The responsibilities of this job include high volume production of pies, bundt cakes, coffee cakes, cookies, cheesecakes and various batters, frostings and fillings. This position includes assisting the pastry chef and staff with morning set-up of retail bakery retail cases and shelves and filling daily bakery catering orders.
Employee must have basic skills using a pastry bag for piping.
Applicants only apply whom possess a strong work ethic, friendly demeanor, and willingness to work alongside a team of pastry chefs and bakers. Employee must be comfortable working independently to complete batch recipes as well. Attention to detail and sense of urgency are a must.
Applicants must be able to list 50+ lb. bags and equipment.
Culinary or pastry degree is preferred.
Employee must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays and willing to have a flexible work schedule around busy seasonal times of the year.
