This is hands-on field work not a desk job.
Are you the tech who shows up, sizes up the problem in five minutes, and fixes it right the first time? We want technicians who take pride in clean terminations, tight cable management, and code-compliant work the kind of craftsmanship other techs notice.
About the Role
We're hiring experienced Low Voltage Service Technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling, network infrastructure, and security systems across data centers, offices, and commercial sites throughout DFW. If you know your way around a termination kit and a fault finder, and you'd rather be on-site solving real problems than sitting behind a helpdesk ticket, this is for you.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair issues across data cabling, fiber, cameras, AV, and WAPs
- Install, route, and terminate copper (Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A, Coax) and fiber optic cabling
- Install and configure low-voltage systems surveillance cameras, access control, intercoms, fire alarms
- Handle Moves/Adds/Changes (MACs), testing, patching, and ongoing system maintenance
- Take on data center work: rack & stack, cable tray management, patch panel installation
- Keep clean, accurate logs, labeling, and documentation
All work performed to NEC and OSHA standards.
What You Bring
- 5+ years installing data and fiber cable (3+ years with strong skills also considered)
- Solid troubleshooting chops across data, fiber, camera, AV, and WAP systems
- Your own hand tools
- Valid Texas driver's license with a clean record
- Reliable vehicle + proof of insurance (truck is a plus)
- Ability to pass drug and background screening
- Fluent English
- Available for day shift (nights/overnights a plus)
- Open to up to 25% travel (preferred, not required)
Bonus Points
- BICSI Certification
- Experience with WAPs, IP/analog cameras, paging, or AV systems
If you're a proven service tech who takes pride in doing it right the first time we want to hear from you. Apply today.
