THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced driver/foreman to support our company’s operations. We conduct commercial and residential freight deliveries and moves that can include packing and assembly, as well as white glove moves with flawless installation and detailed staging. Most of our work takes place in NYC.
SELECT RESPONSIBILITIES AS A DRIVER/FOREMAN
- Anticipation: Review the details of each upcoming job and understand the tasks; Inspect your work vehicle, supplies and equipment every morning before the start of the workday and complete the daily checklist
- Collaboration: Work with your team to load your vehicle with any necessary moving equipment or supplies for the day’s jobs
- Communication: Ensure the success of every job, calling in to report any issues or questions about team conduct, furniture conditions and more
- Systemization: Load and unload trucks in strategic fashion and wrap furniture and belongings adequately and with care
- Consideration: After your shift, secure fuel cards and keys in the lock box at the lot; Wear clean company uniform once supplied to you, every day; Clean up rubbish from inside of trucks and vans and dispose at EOD
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Experience SAFELY driving box trucks up to 26 feet
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to get to Jersey City at 7am
- Complete proficiency with furniture dis/assembly and installation; Skilled with tools
- Team player who is dependable and a leader who leads by example
- Ability to lift or move heavy objects up to 75lbs, climb stairs and stay active for extended periods
- Experience in a comparable role
DETAILS AND COMPENSATION
- $23.00-$25.00 per hour, based on experience, plus overtime
- $2500 signing bonus paid out quarterly for driver employment that adheres to role responsibilities and company protocols
- You will be paid weekly on Fridays
