Responsibilities For Pizza cook
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, toppings, and other ingredients with precision and consistency
- Cook pizzas using various methods such as grilling, baking, braising, and poaching to achieve optimal texture and flavor
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes and seasonal specials based on customer preferences and industry trends
- Handle food production tasks efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards
- Support food handling and preparation processes adhering to all food safety regulations and industry best practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and exceptional customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings with a focus on pizza or similar cuisine
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with food industry techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food safety management
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations is a plus
- Excellent understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
