Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing cleaning and facilities maintenance at select accounts, while demonstrating accountability and control over the appropriate site budgets. This position has operational and financial responsibilities. We are looking for a candidate that will maintain long-term, high quality customer relationships through collaboration. You will be responsible for planning, directing, participating and overseeing team members and external vendors to ensure performance expectations are met as well as ensuring our services exceed our client’s expectations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of facility maintenance and cleaning services
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards across all facilities
- Lead a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support for their professional development
- Oversee the use of CMMS for tracking maintenance tasks and schedules
- Coordinate HVAC systems maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Develop and implement facility management policies that align with company values
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment necessary for facility operations
- Approve, and monitor equipment and supply requests in SWEPT
- Submit reports, as required, using Monday.com
- Conduct inspections, check for cleanliness and inform team members of findings and devise methods of correction, if needed
- Review budgets, payrolls, cost projections and supply control records while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Assist in training employees, coach and counsel, communicate their objectives, appraise job results, and create an open line of communication with them
- Evaluate and verify team members’ performance through the review of completed work and work techniques
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Provide first-class service by adhering to quality and customer service standards
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with each client and ensure the client is retained through providing the best service levels in accordance with their contract.
- Listen to constructive feedback with the intent to learn from it to enhance cooperation within the department
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, and CMMS is essential
- Developed problem-solving skills, with a logical approach to challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external clients
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
- Pay attention to detail—take pride in work
- Reliability and the ability to work without direct supervision
- Be a committed team player who can work cooperatively with others
- Must be honest and hardworking.
