Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading products.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles.
- Execute route driving efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as handcarts and dollies.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary to transport goods from the vehicle to the delivery location.
- Maintain accurate scans of all deliveries using a company-provided scanner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Experience as a delivery driver preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy packages regularly. Packages can weight up to 150lbs.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Including extreme heat on high temperature days, with no AC in the trucks.
Compensation
- Training pay : $150/day during the first week or two of training.
- Starting pay $170/day. We offer an opportunity for a pay increase of $10/day every 30 days. Must be on time to every shift, and completing all deliveries and pickups to qualify for the $10 increase. Increases cap at $200/day.
- We offer a weekly stop count bonus. Every stop over 650 for the week will be $1 per stop added to your weekly paycheck.
- Pay Periods run Saturdays-Fridays. We pay every Friday.
