Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the pickup and delivery of goods to various locations all while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting and have preferably experience operating delivery vehicles
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle, utilizing equipment we provide.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Experience operating medium sized box trucks a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods (up to 50 pounds).
- Knowledge of route driving and navigation systems to optimize delivery efficiency. Ability to work with handheld scanners.
- Must be at least 21 years old, possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required) and pass a DOT physical and drug test.
