Job Title: Boatique/ Retail Supervisor
The Retail Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the successful day to day operation of the retail store as well as ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs: Hospitality, Quality, Value and Family. This includes cash handling procedures such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits. The retail supervisor must also maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
- Monitor Service Standards in real time in area of responsibility; constructively coach staff as needed in the moment service standards.

Greet customers and determine the customer’s needs or desires ensuring customer satisfaction and that all GRG service standards are met.

Take action in response to requests, inquires and complaints and seeks management to resolve them in a way that ensures the customer will return again quickly and that every customer leaves happy.

Demonstrates and reinforces leadership behaviors necessary to gain employees’ loyalty, satisfaction and pride.

Effectively assist management in creating schedules for staff three weeks in advance to allow staff to schedule their personal life accordingly and provide sufficient retail store coverage.

Assist in verifying all open/running/closing and work duties are completed to standards

Perform routine cash handling techniques along with returns and exchanges.

Ensures appropriate sanitation, employee wellness, housekeeping and presentation standards are adhered to following established policies, procedures and checklists.

Assist management in monitoring inventory and ensuring everything is adequately stocked

Complies with all policies and procedures, current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations as directed by the Manager

Communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff. Escalates issues to Manager as appropriate.

Participates in the community as a representative of the company

Maintain records related to sales.

Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.

Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires.

Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.

Ticket, arrange and display merchandise to promote sales.

Assist customers try on or fit merchandise.

Signing and filling out paperwork including safety wavers

May perform other duties as assigned

Retail Supervisors are required to work shifts outside, in changing temperatures, as well as on a floating dock that could move.

Minimum of a high school diploma; Bachelor’s Degree or other four-year degree preferred. One to three years of experience in a retail environment with at least one year of management experience preferred.
Ability to communicate professionally verbally and in writing, with the public and with employees; ability to read and write English; ability to perform basic math skills including addition, multiplication, subtraction and percentages; ability to make sound business decisions; ability to analyze data and draw conclusions from the information at hand; ability to maintain composure and poise under pressure; strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new software programs.
