Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Part-Time Hotel Restaurant Server! Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation and quality meet high standards
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, including sales transaction processing and cash handling
- Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, and specialty cocktails, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service stations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and beverage options to enhance the guest experience
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining experience
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for order entry and sales processing
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Experience with food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is a plus; ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
