As a Warehouse Receiver, you are responsible for all inbound shipments, offloading product from trucks, counting product received, checking quality of product, and identifying damages, shortages, and overages.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verifies and maintains records of all incoming shipments and accepts deliveries.
- Report all purchase orders to buyers in which need to be "checked"
- Sort and count inbound shipments for accuracy
- Build kits/box incoming product (ex AMY kits, BCW boxes, etc.)
- Communicate with freight hubs about shipping and refusal policy
- Inspect products for damages and keep photographic records of them
- Submit claims to vendors when there are issues i.e. damages, shortages, overages, and defects
- Communicate with vendors regarding claims
- Load cars for pick up customers and taking/logging checks
- Package and ship back damages and overages when requested
- Enters purchase orders and returns against purchase orders in event of a damage or defect
- Organizes and keep records for all adjustments including adjustments for damaged inventory
- Generate a monthly report to contain information related to damages
- Monitor REC and RET bins and regularly clear out
- Itemize and organize expired damages for bulk 'ding and dent' orders
- Load outgoing freight pick ups
- Operating the forklift and or pallet jack (certification can be obtained on the job)
- Participate in company- sponsored events including but not limited to annual ACD EXPO.
- Complete miscellaneous warehouse duties as assigned
- Weekend work as needed
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic math and computer skills required.
- 3 years receiving experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Must be mature, meticulous, self-driven, able to work well independently and comfortable using computers.
- Basic math and reasoning skills.
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with vendors and staff.
- Willing and able to positively contribute to a professional, safe, and conflict-free work environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires a high degree of dependability, reports to work regularly at scheduled time and is available to work all scheduled hours
- Familiar with warehouse receiving procedures
- Works consistently with minimal supervision
- Has a thorough understanding of all safety requirements and company safety policies
Physical Requirements & Environment
- Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing and walking for 8- 10 hours at a time.
- Position requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity, and eye-hand foot coordination in order to operate equipment.
- Must function in a fast-paced environment under moderate pressure
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- This position requires the employee have the ability to have full range of upper body motion in order to occasionally lift stock. Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to read and comprehend information regarding special handling on orders
- Must be able to work in various temperatures
- Employees in all warehouse positions must immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms and horns utilized to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment.
Compensation
- Starting Wage: $17.00 - $20.00 dependent on experience.
