Washington Rock Quarries is looking for a full-time experienced Dozer /Heavy Equipment Operator. The Heavy Equipment Operator is proficient in the use of a diverse range of mining equipment, including, excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, haul trucks and other pieces of equipment. Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of mining equipment. Performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to stripping, creating plant feed, feeding plants, loading haul trucks, loading rockery rock, loading dump trucks, etc.
*This is a 2nd shift position*
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate all heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Primary responsibilities will be operating a dozer and/or excavator.
- Perform various tasks including but not limited to stripping, creating plant feed, feeding plants, loading haul trucks, loading rockery rock
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Experience/Skills:
- Minimum 1 year operating heavy equipment.
- Able to follow directions and work as a team player, at times with little supervision.
- Track record of safely and attention to detail.
Education/Requirements:
- Heavy equipment operation in a mine site a plus
- Proper paperwork to document that you are authorized to work in the US
- Pass Pre-employment drug test and background check
Physical Demands:
- Working hours may exceed 10-hour shifts, M-F and most Saturdays.
- This job requires working outside in all kinds of weather.
- Attention to safety when working on and around mining equipment and moving machinery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
