Overview

In this vital role, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and repair a wide range of machinery to ensure optimal operation. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Repair or replace appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) components, motors, belts, pumps, and other mechanical parts.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs and installations.
- Assist with construction or modification projects related to facility upgrades or equipment installation.
- Lead or collaborate with team members on complex repair tasks ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed for compliance and tracking.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or maintenance mechanic with a strong background in appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration technology, air conditioning units, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately; familiarity with electrical systems is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance across construction or industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
- Leadership qualities that enable guidance of junior team members or coordination during complex repairs.
