Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development in infants.
- Provide attentive toddler care, ensuring safety, comfort, and individualized attention for each child.
- Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and self-regulation.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences.
- Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress, including observations and assessments aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive learning environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure child welfare and safety at all times.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to infants aged 12–17 months.
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
- Proficiency in curriculum development tailored for toddler learners and literacy education strategies suitable for early stages.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively through classroom management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and compassionately.
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention practices, and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or Montessori teaching are a plus.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety.
