PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Warehouse Technician - Loader is an hourly position, reporting to the Controller/Warehouse Leader with daily management by the Warehouse Coordinator. The Warehouse Technician - Loader is primarily responsible and accountable for loading and shipping material that coordinates with designated shipping schedules, warehouse inventory management, and all activities necessary to inventory and ship a product.
Reports to: Warehouse Leader/Controller with daily management by Warehouse Coordinator on duty
Span of Control: Individual Contributor
Shift: Monday – Friday: Afternoons (2:45pm – 11:00pm)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to fulfill shipments by placing them on various types of transportation platforms

Load and unload flatbeds, vans, containers, and boxcars via forklift while observing all safety regulations and PIV standards

Meet or exceed productivity expectations and targets – 12 trucks loaded (or equivalent) for an 8/hr day.

Generate paperwork and leverage knowledge of warehouse layout to efficiently load trucks

Utilize RF terminal to electronically record movement of inventory to order from warehouse information system.

Perform SAP related duties. Pallet reconciliation, production order control and any other related issues as directed.

Identify quality and/or damage concerns and takes proper actions to prevent recurrence.

Work with other departments involved in activities relating to customer returns, product integrity, and production of finished goods.

Staging product for pending scheduled shipments

Ability to read staging reports for product and quantity

Use forklift to move the appropriate material and quantity of product to staging area in a safe manner

Utilize RF terminal to properly scan appropriate product to staging location and electronically record movement of inventory to order from warehouse information system.

Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards

Maintain a clean work environment through regular housekeeping and cleaning in a safe manner

Perform cleanup duties including, but not limited to workstations, warehouse bays, foam dome, and outside warehouse area.

Ability to utilize the in house floor scrubber to aid in cleaning once per week

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/Physical Requirements:

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required

Must be a US citizen or have the right to work in the US

Must be 18 years or older

Must be drug and alcohol free

Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Must be able to bend, lift up to 50lbs, kneel, stoop, stand, drive in a tow motor for 12+/hrs per day.

Must possess strong communication and organizational skills

Must have the ability to multi-task and work independently

Must work well in team environment

Must be able to secure and maintain Powered Industrial Vehicle Certification

Must have to ability to do basic mathematical calculations

Must be able to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Related experience and/or training in an industrial environment
