American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position on a Dedicated Education Unit (DEU), with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an every-other-weekend requirement.

Hospital Med/Surg setting on a 22-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) focused on foundational nursing education and preceptorship
-
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating to other units is expected at times
-
Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses accepted)

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Nurses on this unit serve as highly engaged preceptors supporting newly graduated nurses during the foundational stages of their orientation

Holiday coverage policy: if one holiday falls within the assignment, expect to work it; if two holidays fall within the assignment, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two
