What We're Looking For:
A Sushi Chef capable of preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of traditional and modern sushi techniques.

What You'll Do:

Prepare sushi and sashimi dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines

Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of all sushi ingredients

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi station and equipment

Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques

Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu development and seasonal offerings

Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times

Provide personable service to guests when applicable

Report equipment maintenance needs and ensure proper functioning of tools

Participate in kitchen opening and closing procedures

Support cost control measures and minimize waste

Attend required hotel meetings and training sessions

Perform other duties as assigned
Your Qualifications Include:

Minimum 3 years of experience in sushi preparation, preferably in an upscale hotel or restaurant

Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations
-
Ability to bend, stoop, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and push carts up to 200 pounds
-
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
-
High school diploma required; culinary certification preferred
