Alabama Fertility Specialists is hiring a Registered Nurse in our fast-paced Birmingham location for the IVF Nurse Coordinator role. The IVF Nurse Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of IVF cycles, education of patients regarding IVF medications and individualized treatment plans. Previous experience in Fertility and/or Women's Health preferred. Occasional weekend and call coverage required.
- Establish confidence, trust and a positive rapport with patients
- Coordinate treatment for patients undergoing Egg Freezing or IVF by medication ordering, medication teaching, scheduling and patient education
- Facilitate informed consent process
- Contact patients with test results, updates and treatment outcome; schedule follow-up appointments as appropriate
- Collaborate with the embryology lab and clinical team to ensure appropriate patient scheduling and follow up
- Start IVs, monitor patients in recovery
- Must have excellent communication skills and be well organized
- Perform other tasks as assigned
