Cross Country Education is looking for dedicated and collaborative Special Education Paraprofessionals to provide individualized classroom support and help students reach their full potential during the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Overview:
- Instructional Support: Assist students with special education needs by supporting classroom instruction, individualized learning goals, and inclusion activities.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with teachers and support staff to reinforce lessons, prepare classroom materials, and foster a positive learning environment.
- Daily Living Care: Assist students with personal care, mealtime, mobility, and other daily living activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement reinforcement strategies and behavior interventions to support student success.
- Prepare and adapt instructional materials under teacher guidance to meet individual learning needs.
- Track student progress through observation and documentation to support IEP goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure consistent support and program implementation.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus one of the following:
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
- Associate's degree
- 60+ college credit hours
Required: Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card and an active CPR/First Aid Certification
Experience: Prior experience supporting children with special needs (behavioral or autism support preferred). Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
