We're a small but growing, wood-and-coal-fired barbecue restaurant looking for a hard-working, motivated person to join our team. This hands-on role involves preparing meats, working around smokers, and backup person for cutting/serving meat at our butcher block. No experience required—we’ll teach you everything you need to know. If you're dependable, eager to learn, and take pride in doing things right, we want to hear from you.
Schedule:
Initial expected schedule (subject to change):
Wednesday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Thurs-Sat - 4:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Sun - 4:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Responsibilities:
- Trim, grind, and stuff sausages
- Prep raw meats for smoking
- Operate and manage real wood/coal-fired smokers
- Clean smokers/smoke house/work areas
- Wash prep dishes
- Be backup to cut and plate meats during service at the butcher block
- Follow food safety and cleanliness standards
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs as needed on occasion
- Provide friendly, service-oriented interactions with customers during service
Requirements:
- Willingness to learn and work hard
- Friendly and team-oriented attitude
- High attention to detail
- Punctual and reliable
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain it)
- Reliable transportation
- Able to stand for extended periods and work in a hot/smoky environment
