Overview
We are seeking a motivated Mill Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various milling and fabrication machines to produce precision metal products. Your expertise will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety while adhering to production schedules. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence. Hourly Pay based upon experience in the Mill area.
Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment with precision and efficiency
- Set up machines by interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper tooling and machine configuration
- Perform machining tasks including CNC programming, tool setup, calibration, and adjustments for optimal performance
- Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement tools to verify product specifications
- Follow safety protocols diligently during machine operation and fabrication processes to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, machine maintenance logs, and quality control documentation
- Assist in sheet metal fabrication processes including forming, welding, and assembly as needed
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machines such as mills, lathes, plasma cutters, or stamping presses in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for quality control purposes
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measurement calculations and machine setup
- Ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Prior experience with metal fabrication processes such as forming machines or electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus
