We specialize in baking made from scratch, including our world-famous Thumbprint Cookies, custom decorated birthday cakes, wedding cakes, donuts, pastries, and more. We are a small, independent bakery with a strong focus on quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
Position Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and skilled Baker to join our team. This is a hands-on role perfect for a passionate scratch baker who takes pride in producing high-quality baked goods and maintaining our long-standing recipes and standards. You will play a key role in daily production and help ensure the consistent excellence our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce a variety of baked goods from scratch, including breads, pastries, cakes, donuts, Thumbprint Cookies, and specialty items.
- Perform baking and frying duties to maintain fresh daily production.
- Maintain the highest standards for quality, consistency, freshness, product rotation, and food safety/sanitation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and pastry tools
- Follow established recipes precisely and help maintain production documentation.
- Support food handling procedures by following proper storage, labeling, and inventory management practices
- Provide excellent customer service, assist with retail sales, special orders, and online orders as needed.
- Work collaboratively as a team player in a small bakery environment.
- Work early morning hours as required to support fresh daily production.
- Help solve production issues quickly as they arise.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional baking experience in a scratch bakery environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and consistency.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, presentable, and able to work flexible early-morning hours.
- Basic math skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
