Duties
- Assist in preparing sushi ingredients, including slicing fish and vegetables with proper knife skills.
- Support the kitchen team in assembling sushi rolls and plating dishes efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring all food handling practices meet food safety standards.
- Help with food preparation tasks such as portioning ingredients, garnishing dishes, and setting up workstations for service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures during meal preparation to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness.
- Support catering events by preparing sushi platters and assisting with setup and breakdown.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is sanitized and maintained according to health regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience working in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments, especially within the food industry or culinary settings. Experience making rolls.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation are preferred.
- Understanding of food safety practices, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support a busy kitchen environment.
