Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring efficiency and precision
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash transactions and credit card payments accurately while handling cash safely and responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
