Locations: Grand Isle, Fairfax, and South Burlington, Vermont Roberts Energy is seeking dependable, safety-focused Oil and Propane Bobtail Delivery Drivers to join our teams in Grand Isle, Fairfax, and South Burlington. Both year-round and seasonal heating season positions are available. This position is responsible for safely delivering heating oil and propane to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers throughout the surrounding service areas. Responsibilities
- Safely operate an oil or propane bobtail delivery truck
- Deliver heating oil and propane to customer locations
- Complete daily vehicle inspections and required safety documentation
- Accurately record deliveries, meter readings, tickets, and customer information
- Follow assigned routes and communicate with dispatch regarding changes or delays
- Safely handle hoses, equipment, and delivery connections
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, leaks, equipment concerns, or customer-access issues
- Follow all DOT, hazmat, company, and industry safety requirements
- Provide professional and courteous customer service
- Assist with emergency and after-hours deliveries when scheduled
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class B or Class A
- Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required
- Valid DOT medical card
- Clean and acceptable driving record
- Ability to meet DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Previous oil or propane delivery experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate in winter weather and on rural roads and driveways
- Ability to lift and pull delivery hoses and perform the physical duties of the position
- Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and customer service
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work independently
Paid training may be available for an experienced CDL driver who has the required endorsements but is new to oil or propane delivery.ScheduleYear-round and seasonal heating season opportunities are available. Hours may vary based on weather, customer demand, and the heating season. Drivers must be willing to work overtime and participate in rotating weekend or on-call coverage when needed.Seasonal drivers will primarily support increased delivery demand during the fall and winter heating season, with the possibility of continued or year-round employment based on business needs and performance.What We Offer
