Join Our Culinary Team
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. This position is responsible for preparing and executing high-quality menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, customer service driven and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
· Work multiple stations including grill, sauté, fry, pantry, salad, and banquet production.
· Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties as assigned.
· Maintain clean, organized, sanitized, and properly stocked workstations.
· Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and temperature control procedures.
· Assist with daily prep and ensure readiness for meal periods, banquets, and special events.
· Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation to maintain culinary standards.
· Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and properly.
· Communicate effectively with chefs and team members regarding shortages, quality concerns, and service needs.
· Maintain efficiency and ticket times in a high-volume kitchen environment.
· Minimize waste and support proper product rotation and utilization.
· Support a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture.
· Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of line cook experience in a fine-dining, resort, hotel, or private club environment preferred.
· Experience working multiple stations in a professional kitchen.
· Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
· Ability to follow recipes and cooking guidelines with attention to detail.
· Ability to communicate effectively in English.
· Food Safety Certification preferred.
· CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
· Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and work with sharp tools and hot surfaces.
· Ability to work in varying temperatures and high-heat environments during busy service periods.
