American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a high-acuity Magnet teaching hospital, requiring strong neuro experience and the ability to circulate all cases including cardiac and transplant.

Position is in the Operating Room of a Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital with 637 staffed beds
-
High-acuity OR environment with 28 rooms and an average daily census of 50–75
-
Patient population includes orthopedic/sports (minimally invasive arthroscopic), laparoscopic, robotics, general, GYN, urology, and plastics cases
-
Cardiac and transplant case circulation is a core expectation of this role
-
Experience in neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular is a plus
-
Floating within the hospital to other specialties when census is slow; no floating to sister hospitals
-
Night shift: 4x10-hour shifts, 2100–0730
-
No call required

Weekend requirements TBD

Charting system: Epic (preferred but not required)

Scrubs are provided for OR personnel (any color)

Active WA RN license or compact license currently in hand — pending licenses are not accepted

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 3–4 years of OR RN experience required

Strong neuro OR experience required

Experience circulating cardiac, transplant, and robotic cases strongly preferred

Proficiency across multiple OR service lines preferred
-
Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred

COVID vaccination and booster required — no exceptions

Two professional references required for consideration

This role functions as the sole circulator and must be willing to circulate all case types

May be assigned charge nurse duties as needed

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate — no radius restriction

RTO is not permitted during orientation week and should otherwise be kept to a minimum; maximum of 1 week of RTO per contract

Prior UW staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler

13-week minimum contract length; interest in an extended contract beyond 13 weeks is encouraged
