Position Summary
Advanced Protective Services is seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to provide overnight security coverage at a commercial facility in Austell, GA.
The selected officer will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through employee access screening, monitoring facility activity, enforcing site procedures, and completing accurate security documentation. This position requires strong attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to remain alert throughout an overnight assignment.
Schedule
Monday–Friday
10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (2200–0600)
Overnight availability is required.

Responsibilities
- Perform employee entry and exit screening procedures, including bag inspections and security wand screenings
- Verify authorized personnel access and assist with facility security procedures
- Maintain a professional security presence throughout the assigned post
- Monitor activity within and around the facility
- Conduct periodic patrols as directed by site procedures
- Identify and report safety concerns, policy violations, and suspicious activity
- Respond to security-related incidents according to established protocols
- Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports and incident documentation
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, and client representatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight hours
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous security experience
- Military, law enforcement, or corrections background
- Experience with access control or industrial security environments
- Experience writing incident reports
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Prior experience working overnight shifts
