Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in Med/Surg units, ensuring safety and quality.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the team.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
Meet performance metrics and contribute to pipeline-based territory goals.
Engage in continuous professional development and pursue growth opportunities.
Participate in patient and family education to support care at home.
Assist with care coordination and discharge planning for efficient transitions.
Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and process improvement within unit workflows.
Experience/Qualifications
Active RN license with Med/Surg or acute care certification
Minimum 1–2 years Med/Surg bedside experience
Proficient medication administration and protocol adherence
Ability to monitor patient conditions and promptly escalate changes
Strong documentation and EHR/charting accuracy
Collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Discharge planning and care coordination experience
Patient and family education delivery skills
Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and efficiency
