Job Summary:
Join our dynamic construction team as a Traveling Rig/Diesel Mechanic and play a vital role in laying the groundwork for large-scale infrastructure projects. Job duties and responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and electrical systems on a variety of heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery.
· Proficient at repairing, replacing, dismantling, and inspecting defective equipment such as pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, generators, and drilling auxiliary equipment.
· Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific job requirements.
· Coordinates purchasing with appropriate personnel and vendors to help achieve timely repair of equipment.
· Assists operations as needed.
· Competently operates and maintains facility equipment with minimal guidance or assistance as directed by and in coordination with the Field and Production Manager.
· Proficiently performs duties of a Mechanical Technician in the operation of the combined equipment.
· Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges. Cleaning, replacing, oiling, and lubricating other component parts and equipment as required.
· As required, proficiency in completely overhauling valves, pumps, compressors, and other common equipment is essential.
· Preforms additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· Welding experience a plus
· Minimum of 5 plus years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
· 3 years working with hydraulics.
· 2 years working as rig mechanic.
· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requirements
· Must always work in a safe and efficient manner.
· Must be able and willing to travel up to 85% of the time.
· Must have valid Driver’s License, CDL is not required but a plus.
· Must have own tools and toolbox and Truck.
· Must be willing to work required 10-hour shifts.

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
