RKI Instruments, Inc., an innovative gas detection company is seeking a focused individual with strong technical and interpersonal communication skills to provide our customers with technical support for sales and service of both RKI Instruments portable and continuous monitoring gas detection instruments at our AZ office. Semiconductor clean room experience is required. Also must have a clean DMV record and background. Background check and drug screening is required.
Responsibilities
Field Service Engineer is responsible for managing RKI Instruments field service accounts, performing maintenance, calibration and start-up services on RKI and Riken Keiki portable and fixed gas monitoring instruments at RKI Instruments and at customer sites.
Field Service Engineer will provide on-site evaluations, quotations for field service calls, scheduling of routine service calls, updating service data files, provides billing service, maintains service vehicle fleet, maintains service inventory, provides training to customers on RKI Instrument products.
Technical Requirements
- Field Service Engineer must be proficient with the use of electronic test equipment including but not limited to digital voltmeter, oscilloscope, ammeter, power supply and basic hand tools.
- Field Service Engineer must also be able to read and understand schematics, loading drawings, bill of materials, wiring diagrams, be proficient in AC, DC and digital theory and possess excellent mechanical and soldering skills.
- Field Service Engineer must be able to carry loads of up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders.
- Semiconductor clean room experience is required.
Education and Training
Field Service Engineer must have an AS in electronics or other related field and at least 5 years prior outside service experience and or equivalent military training. Field Service Engineer must be able to communicate clearly both in oral and written English and be able to work independently. Field Service Engineer must have a clean DMV record and background. Background check and drug screening is required.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
