Ophthalmic Technician
We are a fast paced ophthalmology office that is looking for a qualified, organized and energetic addition to our medical team for our growing practice. We provide a career track and training to a nationally recognized certification.
Qualifications:
· Positive attitude, self-starter, curious to learn a new skill, dependable
· 40+ words per minute typing
· Comfortable communicating with doctors, peers, patients
· Detail-orientated, organized, a quick learner, reliable
· Ability to work independently and part of a team
· Verifiable references
Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Making our patients feel welcomed and valued with outstanding customer service
· Complete medical history taking, visual function tests, scribing for doctor exams
· Diagnostic testing including refractions, VFs, OCTs, retina and optic nerve photos and corneal topographys
· Assisting with minor surgical procedures and setting up office procedures
We are willing to hire and train the right person. This full-time position is Monday through Friday. We provide 8 paid holidays, 15 vacation/sick days, medical, dental and of course vision coverage, generous allowance towards optical products. Chico Eye Center will provide resources and pay for certifications to further your career in Ophthalmology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
