WORK LOCATION & HOURS: 112 State St. Albany, NY 12207, M-F 8:30am-4:30pm; offsite clinical location within Albany County (location confidential). Potential
for hybrid-remote schedule. Daytime, overnight, weekend, and holiday hotline coverage is required for this position.

DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled clinician who is passionate about supporting crime victims and providing trauma-informed care to join our team. This position primarily serves adults who have experi-
enced sexual assault, domestic violence, and other forms of interpersonal violence, providing individualized therapeutic support to help survivors heal, regain a sense of safety, and move forward. The ideal
candidate will have experience providing therapy to adults, strong clinical assessment and interviewing skills, and knowledge of trauma-informed practices. Experience working with survivors of trauma, interper-
sonal violence, or other complex life experiences is highly valued. Compassion, tact, emotional maturity, sound judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. If you are committed to helping survi-

evening and weekend meetings, events, and community activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide trauma-informed individual, family, and group therapy, as well as crisis intervention, clinical assessment, and treatment planning.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medical and legal advocacy and connect victims with appropriate community resources and support services.
- Participate in 24-hour crisis hotline coverage, including responding to crisis calls and accompanying victims to medical and law enforcement facilities when needed.
- Collaborate with the clinical team and provide guidance and supervision to interns and volunteers.
- Provide education and outreach on interpersonal violence, trauma, prevention, and bystander intervention.
- Maintain timely and accurate case records and documentation.
- Represent the agency at community meetings, events, and other outreach activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to trauma-informed care and services for survivors.
- Train and support interns and volunteers in agency practices, trauma-informed care, and working with survivors of interpersonal violence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EITHER:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Clinical Social Work or a closely related field and EITHER:
A. Six (6) months of clinical experience in conducting individual, group, or family therapy; OR,
B. Successful completion of a Master’s level internship with a rape crisis center or victim assistance program.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligibility for and possession of a valid New York State driver’s license at time of appointment;
- Must be licensed by NY State as either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) OR Licensed Mental Health
Counselor (LMHC) within one (1) year of employment.
- Successful clearance of the required Suitability Determination (Background investigation is conducted by the appointing authority.)

Program required job candidates to compete in a competitive exam to be considered for employment. For the duration of the program, this title will be classi-
fied as non-competitive and categorized as a “HELP Program” position. At the close of the program, this position will revert to competitive class status.
Employees occupying positions filled through the HELP Program will be granted competitive class status without the need to participate in a competitive exam.
