About the Role
We are looking for an Investment Analyst to evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct financial modeling, and support portfolio management strategies. In this role, you will perform quantitative and qualitative market research, build three-statement financial models, and prepare detailed investment memorandums for decision-makers. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical acumen, advanced spreadsheet proficiency, and a structured approach to asset valuation in an on-site team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis) to evaluate prospective investment assets and capital allocation.
- Conduct in-depth industry, macroeconomic, and competitor research to identify emerging market trends and investment risks.
- Prepare concise investment memorandums, quarterly performance reports, and executive presentation decks for the investment committee.
- Partner directly on-site with senior portfolio managers and cross-functional teams to track existing asset performance and monitor key financial covenants.
- Assist in the due diligence process for new acquisitions, reviewing historical financial statements, tax records, and legal documentation.
- Maintain organized investment databases and streamline financial tracking workflows.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, private equity, corporate finance, or equity research.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, nested functions, pivot tables) and financial database tools.
- Strong understanding of corporate financial statements, valuation methodologies, and accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable investment recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field (progress toward CFA designation is a plus).
