About Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream
At Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream, we make our ice cream fresh on site using the same small-batch methods that have defined the Handel’s tradition for decades. Our Ice Cream Makers ensure every scoop served to the community meets our high standards for quality, texture, and flavor. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on work, this role is a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Produce ice cream according to Handel’s recipes, batching standards, and quality expectations
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with precision
- Safely operate, clean, and maintain ice cream-making equipment
- Label, date, and store all batches using proper food safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary production environment
- Restock freezers, and back-of-house storage
- Track ingredient usage and notify management of inventory needs
- Support production efficiency and uphold daily freshness standards
- Work between 2 locations
What We’re Looking For
- Prior kitchen, prep, or food production experience is helpful but not required—full training provided
- Excellent attention to detail and recipe accuracy
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and cold environment
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs (required)
- Must be available during daytime hours
- Weekend availability is required
- Must be out of High School to apply
