Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a part-time, night shift schedule. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pediatric critical care respiratory therapy and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Hours: This part-time night shift position works 48 hours bi-weekly and the hours are 7pm to 7am.
Compensation Information: The pay range for this position is $33.47/hour - $50.22/hour. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.

The Respiratory Therapist gets the opportunity to participate in daily planning via patient rounds.
- You'll work as part of the interdisciplinary team for the plan of care for our patients.

Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through their discharge under a physician's order

Communicates verbal and/or written patient and departmental information/special needs to pertinent persons in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e. rounds)

Documents accurate, specific, complete patient care data according to policy and procedure guidelines

Assures safe, cost effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas

Required:

Associate Respiratory Therapy
-
5 Years RT experience in ICU setting
-
RRT
-
License in state of Illinois
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from American Heart Association
Preferred:
-
2 Year Pediatric experience
