PURPOSE OF JOB:
Responsible for assembling and packaging items for customer orders
SCHEDULE:
JOB DUTIES:
- Accurately pull notions and non-yardage items as required to fill orders
- Verify correct items were pulled for each order
- Package materials for same-day shipment
- Unload inventory and stock shelves as new inventory arrives
- Re-stock packaging supplies such as bag, boxes, tape, scissors etc.
- Maintain neat and orderly work areas
- General housekeeping as required to maintain a safe workplace
- Other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Reading and comprehending customer orders, policies and procedures
- Acute attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with basic computer applications
- Basic math (division, addition, subtraction) to calculate yardage and order amounts
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
- Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.
- The employee must be able to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 120 minutes.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent grasping, reaching, squatting, kneeling and over-head reaching for low & highly placed inventory.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
