Fulfillment Manager Position Summary
The Fulfillment Manager oversees the daily operations of the fulfillment department while fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing work environment. This role serves as the primary link between frontline employees and leadership, balancing operational excellence with employee development, relationship building, and continuous improvement.
Success in this role requires a hands-on leader who builds trust with employees, collaborates effectively across departments, and develops strong partnerships with equipment vendors, suppliers, and service providers. The ideal candidate leads with empathy and accountability, communicates effectively at all levels, and is willing to work alongside the team to ensure operational success.
Primary Responsibilities
People Leadership & Employee Relations
- Foster a high-performing culture built on trust, accountability, open communication, and continuous improvement, where employees feel valued, motivated, and empowered to contribute their best work.
- Build strong relationships with employees through a consistent, visible presence on the production floor.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance, and development conversations to support employee growth.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop employees while supporting ongoing growth and engagement.
- Address performance concerns through coaching, documentation, and corrective action when necessary.
- Lead team meetings to communicate company updates, safety initiatives, operational goals, and expectations while encouraging collaboration and engagement.
- Develop employee recognition and incentive programs that strengthen morale, performance, and retention.
- Champion collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement across the operation.
Operations Management
- Oversee all fulfillment functions, including production, packing, shipping, receiving, quality control, and inventory support.
- Develop proficiency with fulfillment equipment, perform basic troubleshooting, and coordinate with vendors and technicians to minimize downtime.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment manufacturers, service providers, and suppliers.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency while proactively identifying, leading, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, scalability, and employee experience.
- Ensure operational procedures are followed and step into operational roles as needed during staffing shortages, training, or peak demand.
- Own the development, documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring processes remain scalable, efficient, consistently executed, and support effective employee training.Promote workplace safety and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Inventory & Resource Management
- Monitor consumable inventory and maintain adequate supply levels.
- Build relationships with suppliers while identifying cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
- Partner with the Inventory & Automation Coordinator to maintain inventory accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and support cycle counts and audits.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor key performance metrics to identify coaching opportunities and operational improvements.
- Balance productivity with employee engagement, safety, and quality.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Fulfillment, leadership, and cross-functional teams, building trusted relationships that ensure alignment, effective communication, and successful execution of operational and strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrate flexibility by contributing wherever needed to support business operations.

- Experience creating and maintaining SOPs and process documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Experience with inventory management systems preferred.

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
