We are JJs World! We are full service American style restaurant in the Chicora, PA area! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing outstanding hospitality to our guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced environment, showcasing your culinary knowledge and time management skills while contributing to the overall success of our fine dining establishment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, ensuring all customer preferences are noted.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests.
- Process cash handling transactions accurately, ensuring all payments are managed properly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and maintain communication during service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables, busing tables, seating guests, etc.
- Participate in preparing food and food procedures.
Requirements
- 1 year of Previous experience in hospitality or fine dining is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary terminology is a plus.
- Proficient in using (Toast Preferably) POS systems for order entry and payment processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a friendly rapport with guests.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing exceptional service are essential for success in this role.
