Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a valid Class A or B driver’s license, and qualify for a DOT medical card , experience in route driving, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks required. Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for delivery routes.
- Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as needed.
- Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Deliver goods to customers promptly, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries professionally during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Assist with warehouse tasks including inventory management and stock organization when not on the road.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance.
Experience
- Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with route driving in urban or suburban areas.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical tasks related to moving goods efficiently.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Experience in warehouse operations or courier services is advantageous but not mandatory.
