A Glo Store Manager is responsbile for the overall performance and of the salon by overseeing day to day functions, delivering exceptional customer service, creating a positive work enviornment and providing training, coaching and uspport for new and existing team members.
Eligible for position: Master Store Manager role and certification
Required criteria to meet: Meet and exceed personal and store sales goals; effectively coaches team in meeting sales goals; maintains high employee satisfaction ratings and retention; receives Glo-ing client reviews; effectively perfroms all Store Manager duties
In-store requirements: Scheduled full time (minimum of 37-40 hours/week) based on salon's needs. Open and flexible availability; willing and able to work nights, weekends, and possible last minute shift coverage.
Out-of-salon requirements: Mandatory weekly leadership meetings (1 hour); available to team by phone during business hours
Management
Shift coverage when needed as a last resort
Monthly Team Meetings are held, effective and engaging
Coaching and Training is consistent and with team members
Monthly One on Ones with each employee
Weekly Leadership Meetings are mandatory attendance; be prepared and engaged
Documentation in employee files is thorough and complete
Communication is transparent and proactive with upper management and team
Zero tolerance for gossip or negative politicking throughout the salon from both leadership and team members
If the location does not have an Assistant Manager, the store manager temporarily handles the responsibilities until the position is filled with a qualified candidate
If the location does not have an area manager or district manager, store manager will handle all reprimands with the guidance of the owner
Customer Service
Exceptional customer service throughout the entire staff
All client issues are handled within 24-48 hours and all clients are satisfied; follow up with Guest Services for issues needing handled
Receive only 'glo-ing' reviews on social media
All team members are fully aware of what they can do for clients and know when to call Guest Services
Cleanliness Maintenance
Salon Cleanliness and organization is up To Glos high standard
Cleaning Checklists completed weekly
Mock Audits posted weekly. The Store Manager and Assistant Manager will alternate weeks performing the audit. It is ultimately the responsibility of the Store Manager to ensure audits are posted each week; Assists/coaches the Assistant Manager on their audits; Addresses mock audit results with the team
Store Audits must receive 90% (done monthly by district manager)
Troubleshoots and helps repair equipment when capable and trains team to do so; equipment issues are communicated to maintenance team immediately; update and follow up daily on maintenance issues
Sales
Assist in reaching team sales goals
Distinguishing areas of missed opportunities with each employee
Daily sales are checked
Providing recognition and praise for stand out occurrences
Minimize client cancellations
Administration
Weekly Plan of Action (POA) posted by Monday at 10am
Schedule posted every Monday schedule reflects traffic, employee performance, coaching and not personal preferences (strongly monitored); Traffic is being monitored daily to match staffing needs and minimize payroll (even on days off)
Inventory Follows up with assistant manager to ensure it is completed correctly and on time
