OCCI, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Electrician with a strong industrial machine background to support our manufacturing and facility operations. A Maintenance Technician is responsible for equipment & building maintenance/upkeep, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facilities, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties:
- Perform maintenance on new state of the art Voortman CNC automated Fabrication steel beamline consisting of Drill, Saw and Coper. Will also be able to operate proficiently.
- Perform maintenance on CNC Kinetic plate drill and bevel machine. Wil also be able to operate proficiently
- Perform maintenance on new BCT structural 12-ft wide plate blast machine and Blastec blast machine. Will be able to operate and train proficiently.
- 3-phase PLC 440-volt electrical wiring for new circuits
- Safety inspection of electrical equipment
- Small tool repair and calibration
- Perform as part of a team
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or associate degree in Electrical Technology.
- Prefer a licensed journeyman Electrician
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, with a focus on electrical systems
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Experience in PLC, low voltage, and drivers.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependability to be on time when scheduled, with ability to work overtime as needed
- Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength to work in a heavy construction environment, which includes working outdoors and in and around construction equipment and vehicle traffic.
