Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting event rental equipment to and from various venues while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving of products. Experience with commercial driving, particularly with box trucks, is highly desirable.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, at times unloading by hand while other times utilizing equipment such as handtrucks.
- Follow efficient routes for timely deliveries, ensuring all items are delivered in good condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records and documentation as required by the company.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organization.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety practices.
- Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks regularly throughout the day.
- Knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills is essential.
- Customer service experience is highly valued, as interaction with clients is a key aspect of this role.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
