Project Developer – Energy Solutions

Are you an engineer who loves solving complex energy problems and wants to see your work translate directly into real-world savings? Syserco is looking for a Project Developer to serve as our technical expert in Energy Solutions — bridging engineering rigor with business development to help our customers cut energy costs and improve building performance.
What You'll Do
- Lead the technical side of the energy sales and project execution process
- Conduct feasibility assessments and energy audits (ASHRAE Level 1–3) across diverse markets — K-12, healthcare, higher ed, data centers, hospitality, and more
- Use tools like eQuest to calculate energy savings and evaluate Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs)
- Build investment-grade audit reports, proposals, and financial/cash flow analyses
- Develop and lead Measurement & Verification (M&V) and Retro-commissioning projects
- Mentor and grow a team of Energy Engineers
- Be a trusted technical voice for customers, subcontractors, and consulting engineers throughout the project lifecycle
- Stay ahead of industry trends — from utility incentive programs to renewable energy and battery storage
What You Bring
- A degree in Mechanical, Energy, or Electrical Engineering
- Strong grounding in HVAC, lighting, building envelope, and electrical/mechanical systems
- Experience developing PFAs and IGAs, with sharp analytical and financial modeling skills
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work independently
- Professional Engineer license and/or Certified Energy Manager credential a plus (CEM required within 12 months)
- A valid CA driver's license and willingness to travel for project needs
