As an Activities Assistant, you'll help create memorable experiences that enhance the quality of life for our residents by:
Planning, organizing, and leading engaging recreational activities including games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, holiday celebrations, and special events
Encouraging resident participation while adapting activities to meet individual interests and abilities
Assisting residents safely to and from activities, including transporting residents in wheelchairs when needed
Building meaningful relationships that promote emotional well-being and social engagement
Preparing activity areas and organizing supplies before and after events
Documenting resident participation and communicating observations with the interdisciplinary care team
Creating a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every resident feels valued
High School Diploma or GED
Experience in Activities, Recreation, Senior Care, or Long-Term Care preferred, but not required
Compassionate, energetic, and dependable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to safely assist residents, including pushing wheelchairs
A positive attitude and a passion for enriching the lives of older adults
