Job Summary Accelerators is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Import Coordinator to join our logistics and supply chain operations team. In this vital role, you will manage and oversee the seamless coordination of ocean import shipments, ISF filing, Customs clearance, and final door delivery. Your expertise will ensure efficient transportation planning and cargo movement while maintaining strict compliance with international trade regulations. Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Shipment Management: Coordinate and track ocean import shipments from origin to final destination, working closely with overseas partners, steamship lines, truckers, and warehouses to ensure timely delivery.
- Customs & Compliance: Execute timely and accurate Importer Security Filings (ISF). Gather, review, and verify international shipping documents from importers, and coordinate directly with partner Customs brokers to facilitate seamless Customs entries.
- Vendor & Rate Management: Assist with sourcing, vendor management, and pricing negotiations with truckers, warehouses, and other service providers to optimize shipping costs and service levels.
- Data Integrity & Billing: Utilize in-house transportation management systems (TMS) for accurate data entry, milestone tracking, and customer invoicing.
- Problem Resolution: Actively monitor shipment milestones, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing root-cause solutions to resolve supply chain disruptions efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort learning proprietary Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Analytical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to perform root-cause analysis.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and collaborate with diverse global partners.
- Attributes: A proactive approach to process improvement, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
