Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Local Truck Driver Class A to join our team. This role involves commercial truck driving within local routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety standards and DOT regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of trucks, including Roll Off Semi trucks, end dumps, high side end dumps, supers, and flatbeds. Additionally, opportunities are available for local dry van work. Candidates must be at least 23 years old with a clean driving record and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.must speak and understand English.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Drive a variety of trucks including Roll Off Semi trucks, end dumps, high side end dumps, supers, flatbeds, and dry van trailers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and readiness
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring securement according to safety standards
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with DOT requirements
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures during daily operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience operating Class A commercial trucks, particularly Roll Off Semi trucks, end dumps, high side end dumps, supers, flatbeds, and dry vans
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial trucking
- Excellent driving record with no recent violations or accidents
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions accurately
- Reliable with a professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Must be at least 23 years old with a clean driving record
