Overview:

The Patient Service Representative provides courteous assistance to patients and physician offices while scheduling and registering patients.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient record
- Answer incoming calls
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about services offered
- Patient registration which includes verifying benefits, obtaining referrals, and authorizations
- Assist with medical records management
- Collects patient responsibility at the time of service
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Ensures proper forms are completed by the patient
- Anticipates patients concerns and answers questions politely and effectively
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a clinic, dental office, or medical office setting is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and basic medical terminology
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- eClinicalWorks experience is preferred but not required
