Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Electrical Repair Specialist to join our service team. In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair complex electrical and air conditioning systems across a diverse fleet. Your work will span from light passenger vehicles to heavy-duty semi-trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Diagnostics: Use specialized computer diagnostic equipment to identify electrical glitches, wiring faults, and sensor failures.
- Heavy & Light Vehicle Repair: Diagnose and repair electrical issues on both passenger vehicles and semi-trucks (12V and 24V systems).
- A/C & Climate Control: Service, evacuate, recharge, and repair automotive air conditioning systems.
- Custom Installations: Install aftermarket and specialized electrical components, including GPS trackers, dash cams, lighting, and auxiliary power units.
- System Maintenance: Read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics to rewire or replace damaged circuits and harnesses.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive electrical repair, with proven experience working on commercial semi-trucks.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with advanced OBD-II scanners, heavy-duty diagnostic software, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Certifications: ASE Certification in Electrical/Electronic Systems (A6 or T6) and EPA Section 609 Certification for A/C refrigerant handling are highly preferred but not limited.
- Documentation: Ability to read complex electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 10-20 lbs and work in tight or awkward spaces common in vehicle repair.
