Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and seasonal specials that excite our guests.
- Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, maintaining cleanliness in all work areas.
- Use knife skills effectively to chop, slice, dice, and portion ingredients accurately.
- Support food preparation tasks such as marinating, assembling dishes, and garnishing plates before service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and ensure smooth operation during busy hours.
- Maintain food handling procedures in compliance with health regulations to ensure guest safety.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred.
- Culinary experience demonstrating proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, especially in handling special dietary needs.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Skills in menu planning, catering support, and meal preparation are advantageous.
